Military Record: Enlisted 12 October 1861 at "Camp Masked Battery" for one year as Pvt, Company I, 4th Virginia Cavalry. Discharged on surgeon's certificate 16 January 1862. Enlisted 29 March 1862 for was as Pvt, Company K, 1st Virginia Artillery (2nd Company Richmond Howitzers; Capt L.F. Jones's Company) (bounty). Last on roll August 1862. Aide-de-Camp to Brig Gen A.R.
