Biography & Genealogy:	Randolph Tyler, Class of 1846: Born- July [?], 1826 at Woodlawn Prince William Co. Va. Father- Judge John Webb Tyler; Mother- Mary [maiden name unknown]. No information on grandparents. Never married, no children. Entered VMI- Sept. 1, 1843; Graduated July 4, 1846 standing 12 in a class of 14. Also graduated from the University of Virginia in 1850. Graduated in Medicine at Jefferson College in Philadelphia in 1852. Career- Doctor in Prince William Co. No Civil War Service. Though he was offered many flattering positions, his ill health prevented him from entering the service. Died- Oct. 5, 1908 in Prince William Co.

The database currently includes the names of all enrolled students (both graduates and non-graduates) from VMI's opening in 1839 through the World War II era.
