Williamson of New Market, Va. on Feb. 22, 1862. Children- 1- William E. Walden; 2- Jacob Walden; 3- Austin A. Walden (VMI Class of 1891); 4- Gilbert Walden. VMI Record: VMI Record: Entered VMI- Sept. 19, 1856; Graduated July 4, 1860 standing 19th in a class of 41. Military Record: Enlisted May 1, 1861 at Woodville, Va. as Captain of Co. G, 7th Va. Infantry; absent on sick leave much of 1861-62; not reelected and dropped at re-organization April 26, 1862; offered to raise 2 companies of cavalry and unofficial source says he did command a cavalry squadron in fall of 1864; no official records found. Careers: Farmer; teacher. Died: Oct. 31, 1921 in Lincoln, Alabama. Buried there.|
