Biography & Genealogy:	Walter Allen Lawrence, Class of 1860: Born- April 18, 1840. Matriculated from Chuckatuck, Va. At VMI 7 months. Dismissed for excess demerits. Military Record: Enlisted June 30, 1861 at Barrett's Point for 1 year as Private, Company F, 9th Va. Absent sick May-June 1862. Admitted to Banner Hospital (Richmond) October 21, 1862. Died there (congestion in lungs). Died- October 28, 1862 in Richmond, Va. Buried Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
