Father- James Neville Peed, born Portsmouth, Vice President Planters Lime and Chemical Corp. in Norfolk. Mother- Martha S. Corbitt, born Boykins, Southampton Co., Virginia. Paternal grandparents- Samuel S. Peed and Elizabeth Neville. Maternal grandfather- James A. Corbitt. Marriage: Garnet Bosley, marriage date not in our records. Children- Martha Sue Peed. VMI Record: Enrolled on September 4, 1918, a graduate of Portsmouth High School. He graduated from VMI June 21, 1922 with a B.S. in Chemistry. At the time of his matriculation his family lived at 120 Washington St., Portsmouth. Career/Occupation: Government engineer at Fort Norfolk. Death: November 9, 1948, at Norfolk, VA, age 48. Buried Oak Grove Cemetery.
