Biography & Genealogy:	John Richard Pemberton, Class of 1858: Born- November 6, 1836. Matriculated from Pemberton, Va. At VMI 1 year. Military Record: Enlisted May 10, 1861 at Goochland Court House for 1 year as Private, Company F, 4th Virginia Cavalry. 4th Sergeant on January-February 1862 roll. 2nd Sergeant on May-June 1862 roll (last on file for him). Unofficial source says killed by deserter whom he apprehended. Died- July 14, 1862.
