Children- 1- Victor Wilson Flowerree; 2- Daniel W. Flowerree, Jr. VMI Record: Entered VMI- July 14, 1854; Graduated July 5, 1858 standing 13 in a class of 19. Civil War Record: Lt. Col. and Acting Assistant Adjutant to Brig. Gen. A.E. Steen's 5th Division State Guard in Sept. of 1861; Assistant Adjutant General to Steen's 3rd Brigade, 1st Division Army of the West in May 1862; Appointed Captain and Assistant Adjutant General to Brig. Gen. D.H. Maury July 8, 1862; Later appointed Major in same position; On Maury's staff in Army of the West, Dept. of East Tennessee and Dept. of the Gulf until the end of the War, but often absent due to illness or on special service during that time. Paroled May 11, 1865 at Meridian, MS. Careers: Merchant; Life member of the Southern Historical Society. Died- Sept. 5, 1878 in Blue Ridge Springs, Va.|
