VMI Record: Entered VMI- July 25, 1855; Graduated July 5, 1858 standing 15 in a class of 19. Civil War Record: 2nd Lieut. in the Provisional Army of Va.; attached to Co. D of the 6th Va. Infantry May 18, 1861 as Drill Master; unofficial source says he served with the Confederate States engineers in the Elizabeth River fortifications. Died April 1862 of typhoid fever. Careers: Civil Engineer before the War. Died- April 3, 1862 from Typhoid Fever contracted while in service.|
