Paternal grandparents- William H. Wise and Sallie A. Scarborough of Accomack Co. Maternal grandparents- Thomas A. Downes and Arinthia Spady of Northampton, Co. VMI Record: Enrolled September 1911, graduated June 1915. Career: U. S. Army officer, March 1917 to September 1946; retired at rank of Colonel. Death: February 28, 1970, Cape Charles, VA. BUrial Cape Charles Cemetery.
