Biography & Genealogy:	World War I Record: Major, 26th Infantry, 1st Division, A.E.F. Severely wounded in action. Recommended for Major during the Meuse-Argonne battle, and received the promotion immediately. Awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Croix de Guerre and Chevalier, Legion of Honour, and received one Corps Citation. Commanded vanguard of his Division in march into Germany.
