Never Married, No children. VMI Record: Entered VMI- Feb. 14, 1853; Resigned Sept. 13, 1855 (Deficient in Math) Went on to the University of Virginia after leaving VMI. Civil War Service: Enlisted May 27, 1861 as Private in Co. D. 5th Va. Cavalry which later became Co. B. of 16th Va. Cavalry Battalion and then Co. B of the 13th Va. Cavalry. Discharged from 13th Va. Cavalry Sept. 25, 1862 to take position of Assistant Surgeon at various Richmond Hospitals. Careers: Physician and Surgeon before, during and after the Civil War. Died- ca. 1885 in Chesterfield Co. Va.
