Biography & Genealogy:Edmund Wallazz, Class of 1855. Genealogy Born 1834 August 1, Philadelphia, PA. Parents: Lawrence Wallazz a school teacher, and Rachel (maiden name unknown). VMI Record: Entered July 25, 1851 from Prince George Co., Virginia. Dropped for academic deficiencies September 5, 1853, did not graduate. Military Record: Union Army. Adjutant, 104th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment; enlisted 6 September 1861, mustered out 30 September 1864. Post-war life and career: Moved to California ca. 1875. Newspaper business; writer in San Francisco area. Marriage: To Sarah A. Cameron. Death: In San Francisco, California on December 14, 1893. Cremated, remains sent to Philadelphia for burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

The database currently includes the names of all enrolled students (both graduates and non-graduates) from VMI's opening in 1839 through the World War II era.
