Grandparents- unknown. Never Married, no children. Matriculated to VMI from Fredericksburg, VA. At VMI 1 year. Military Record: Enlisted on July 10, 1861 for 1 year as a private, Captain J.G. Pollock's Company of Virginia Light Artillery (Fredericksburg Artillery); enlistment extended for 2 years in March, 1862; absent due to illness much of 1862-63; retired to Invalid Corps on Aug. 15, 1864; back on duty in early 1865; paroled at Appomattox. Post War Career: teacher, farmer, public official, ciivl engineer. Died- July 7, 1902 in Fredericksburg, VA.|
