Biography & Genealogy:Henry W. Fisher, Class of 1851: Genealogy: Born- ca. 1831. Father- Reuben Fisher; Mother- Mary Little. Grandparents- unknown. Marriage and children- unknown. Matriculated to VMI from Norfolk, VA. At VMI 15 months; dismissed for excessive demerits. Military Record: Enlisted April 19, 1861 at Petersburg as a Private with Company A, 12th Virginia; on detached duty with engineers from May to August, 1861; on recruiting service in March, 1862; Wounded in Action at Malvern Hill, then treated in hospitals in Richmond and Petersburg; promoted to 1st Lieutenant and Adjutant, 20th Battalion of Virginia Heavy Artillery on Oct. 15, 1862; retired to Invalid Corps on March 15, 1865. Post War Career: Merchant. Died- October, 1902 in Alexandria, VA.
