Maternal Grandparents- John Stuart Crockett and Margaret Buchanan Taylor (Wytheville). Marriage- Pearl Turner of Shreveport, LA, in June 1897. Children: William Stuart, Jr., Hattie Rebecca, Virginia Louis. VMI Record: Entered VMI in 1883 and graduated in 1887 (standing 17th out of 20). Military record: none. Career: Clerk of Court, U. S. Southern District, Indian Territory, Ardmore (Oklahoma); after statehood was special officer in U. S. Dept. of Justice; oil investor and oil businessman. Died: Shreveport, LA, April 10, 1949; buried Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Oklahoma.
