Grandfather- Joshua Fitchett; Pat. Grandmother- Martha Garrow. Mat. Grandparents- unknown. Married- Adela Ellen Chingford, daughter of William Warren Chingford. Children- 1- John Alden Fitchett; 2- Dorothy Elizabeth Fitchett; 3- Peggy Fitchett; 4- Charles James Fitchett; 5- George William Fitchett. VMI Record: Entered VMI- Aug. 24, 1881; Left after four years, but did not graduate. Military Record: Member of the Virginia Volunteers for 15 years and helped organize several companies including the famous "Huntingdon Rifles"; At the outbreak of the Spanish- American War he organized a large company of Immunes for service in the yellow fever areas, but was prevented from joining them in service by a serious accident to his right arm. Careers: Civil Engineer. Died- Dec. 11, 1931 in Georgetown, Colo.
