Genealogy: Date/place of birth- 1848 July 16, Norfolk, VA; Father- Edmund Bradford; Mother- Anne Elizabeth Tazewell; Paternal grandparents- Samuel Sydney Bradford and Abigail Inskeep, both of Philadelphia, PA; Maternal grandparents- Littleton Waller Tazewell and Anne Stratton, both of Norfolk, VA. VMI Record: Entered the Corps of Cadets on February 6, 1865 and was assigned to the Class of 1868; his cadetship lasted only two months, until the end of the Civil War in April 1865; during this time the Corps was headquartered in Richmond, VA and the cadets were primarily assigned to various defensive positions around Richmond. Post-war: attended the University of Virginia; was one of the founders of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity; after leaving UVA was a businessman in Norfolk, VA. Marriage: on Nov. 6, 1883, to Mary Louisa Walke, daughter of Richard Walke and Mary Louisa Talbot, all of Norfolk, VA; Children- 1. Littleton Waller 2. Calvert Walke 3. Edmund Bradford. Died July 15, 1918.|
