Biography & Genealogy:William Alexander Scott, Class of 1868: Born- January 26, 1848. Matriculated from Outing Club, Ga. At VMI 9 days. Military Record: Known to have served in reserves prior to entering VMI. Probably the W.A. Scott on roll July 1, 1863-March 1, 1864 as Private, Company B, 1st Virginia State Reserves (2nd class militia). At VMI February 17-25, 1865 when with Corps in Richmond trenches. Post War Career: Railroader; cotton planter. Died- July 24, 1929.
