Biography & Genealogy:	John Floyd Lewis, Class of 1868: Born- October 16, 1847. Matriculated from Sweet Springs, Va (West Virginia). At VMI 5 months. Military Record: With Corps when it disbanded at Richmond April 2, 1865. Signed parole June 12, 1865 at Charleston, West Virginia as member of Company A, "Cadette Corps." Post War Career: Lived in Kentucky and Texas. Commander, E.S. Rugley Camp (No 1428), United Confederate Veterans, Bay City, Texas. Lawyer; railroad promoter. Died- June 13, 1922.

The database currently includes the names of all enrolled students (both graduates and non-graduates) from VMI's opening in 1839 through the World War II era.
