Biography & Genealogy:	Watson Brooke Ewin, Class of 1867: Born- c1847. Matriculated from Newbern, Va. At VMI 7 months. Military Record: Seems to have been the 17 year old who on Juy 31 (probably 1864) enlisted for the war as Pvt, Company A 1st (Col B.L. Farinholt's) Va Reserves. Late 1864-early 1865 detailed as courier for Brig Gen J.A. Walker. Identification speculative, but he may also have been the 17 year old "B.E. Watson" whose only record shows him as Pvt, Company E, 25th Va Cavalry, who signed parole at Charleston, WV June 12, 1865. Post War Career: Farmer; cattle raiser; fruit grower. Emory & Henry 1865-67. Died- June 4, 1920 in Giles County; buried in Waynesboro.
