Biography & Genealogy: | Trueheart Daniel Hardy, Class of 1867: Born- 1847. Matriculated from Mobile, Al. At VMI 5 months. Military Record: Dismissed from VMI for excessive demerits. Identification pure speculation, but he may have been the "D. Trueheart" whose only record shows him a Private in Capt C.W. Lovelace's Company Alabama Light Artillery (Gid Nelson Artillery) on roll of POWs surrendered May 4, 1865 at Citronelle, Al and paroled May 9, 1865 at Meridian, Mississippi. Post War Career: Publisher. At UVa from 1868-70. Residence Clarke County, Ms. Died- March 17, 1892 in St. Louis, Mo. |
