Biography & Genealogy:	Tate Thomas Leonidas, Class of 1867: Born- February 18, 1847. Matriculated from Max Meadows, Va. At VMI 1 1/2 years (repeated freshman year). Military Record: At VMI October 1862-January 1864. Entered service at Wytheville April 16, 1864 as 2nd Lt, Company E, 4th Virginia Reserves (Col R.T. Preston's Regiment; formerly Col R.T. Preston's Battalion; 5th Virginia Reserves). Elected Capt, Company G September 19, 1864. Post War Career: Represented Pulaski, Wythe, Bland, and Giles counties in Virginia Senate 1897-1900; Pulaski in Virginia House of Delegates 1912. Member VMI Board of Visitors 1906-18. Died- December 9, 1925.
