Biography & Genealogy:	John Thompson Riddick, Class of 1867: Born- August 1, 1845. Matriculated from Suffolk. At VMI 1 year, 5 months (repeated freshman year). Military Record: At VMI August 1, 1862-January 1864. Appointed 2nd Lt March 18, 1864 (date of rank March 9) to be Drill Master on staff of Brig Gen J. Chambliss. Named Acting Assistant Adjutant General and inspecting officer on staff of Colonel (later Brig Gen) R.L.T. Beale November 29, 1864. Post War Career: Lumber mechant. Died- July 18, 1884 in Suffolk.
