Pat. Grandfather- Jesse Richeson. Mat. Grandfather- Capt. John Douglas. No information on grandmothers. Married- Mary Caroline ("Carrie or Carry") Lyle on Dec. 8, 1868 in St. Louis, MO. Children (in 1880 Chicago, IL census records- 1. William Lyle Richeson, age 10 ( b. Dec. 1869). 2. May O. Richeson, age 8. 3. Harry D. Richeson, age 7. Career: Lead Mining (Collier White Lead & Oil Co., owned by his uncle, Thomas E. Richeson). Died- 1882, in St. Louis, MO. (His home in 1880 census is Chicago; however, only records we have list his death place as St. Louis; as of 2/15/2007 his gravesite not located.) Brother of Thomas V. Richeson, Class of 1871.

The database currently includes the names of all enrolled students (both graduates and non-graduates) from VMI's opening in 1839 through the World War II era. In addition, you will find biographical and genealogical information, including a summary of military service during the Civil War, for many individuals who attended in the 19th century. The database also includes some historical Faculty and Board of Visitors members, as well as U. S. Army students sent to VMI for training during World Wars I and II.
