Biography & Genealogy:	John Williams Pearson, Class of 1867: Born- February 24, 1845. Matriculated from Yadkin County, North Carolina. At VMI 3 1/2 months. Military Record: At VMI spring 1863. Appointed 1st Lt and Adjutant, 7th North Carolina Cavalry July 8, 1863 (date of rank June 22). Wounded in Action (knee, thigh) May 12, 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House. Seems to have been unfit for further service. Paroled at Salisbury, North Carolina May 12, 1865. Post War Career: ? Died- c1866. Unofficial source says murdered at sea.
