Employed by Nitre and Mining Bureau early in war. At VMI January 16 - October 29, 1863. Military Record: Unofficial source says enlisted as Private, Company G, 11th Virginia Cavalry at unknown date. Same source says Wounded in Action (arm) May 6, 1864 at the Wilderness. Post War Career: At UVa 1867-68. Graduated from Washington University School of Medicine (now College of Physicians and Surgeons), Baltimore, Maryland. Lived in Culpeper County; Walnut, Kansas; Clooper, Missouri (1875); Austin, Texas (by 1907); and Malone, Texas. Druggist; Physician. Died- Houston, Texas December 12, 1912.|
