Biography & Genealogy:	Hughes William Jasper Skaife, Class of 1867: Born- February 2, 1845. Matriculated from Gloucester Court House. At VMI 8 months over 2 years (repeated freshmen year). At VMI April 10, 1863-January 29, 1864. Military Record: Enlisted April 1, 1864 at Gloucester Court House as Private, Company A, 5th Va Cavalry. Wounded in left arm May 30, 1864. Unofficial source says served as enllisted Aide-de-Camp to Maj Gen T.L. Rosser. No official record of such service found. Paroled at Appomattox. Post War Career: Lawyer. Died- August 14, 1893 in Baltimore, Md.
