Married- Caroline Adams. Children- 1st: Caroline Throckmorton (b. Dec. 1879); 2nd: H. V. (son, b. Aug. 1882); 3rd: William Overton Harris (b. April 1888). VMI Record: Entered VMI- Aug 29, 1863; left ca. April, 1865; made Honorary Graduate of the Class of 1867 on Jan. 16, 1875. Attended University of Va. 1866-68. Military Record: Fought with VMI Corps of Cadets in the Battle of New Market, May 15, 1864 as Private in Co. B. Slightly wounded in action during this battle; served with Corps of Cadets in the trenches at Richmond, Va. until Corps disbanded April 2, 1865. Career: Lawyer-Educator-Circuit Judge in Louisville, KY; Taught Law at the University of Louisville 1886-90; Dean of University of Louisville 1890-1911. Died- July 6, 1911. in Louisville, KY.
