VMI man at Institute December 3, 1862-January 7 1864. "William Glenn" again enlisted January 27, 1864 at Raleigh, NC in Company E, 47th NC. Captured near Petersburg October 27, 1864. Exchanged March 1865. In hospital (Farmville) April 1865 (dypseria) Post War Career: Lawyer; publish offical. VMI man at Princeton University 1867-70. (B.A.) Representative Yadkin Company County in NC House of Representatives 1874-75; Forsyth County in NC Sen 1881-1883. Married M Sallie Eliza Matthews 1875.
