Military Record: Enlisted April 15, 1864 at Ashland as a Private with Company K of the 5th Virginia Cavalry; captured May 11, 1864 at Yellow Tavern; held in Elmira, New York until he was paroled on March 10, 1865; took oath of loyalty to the United States on May 16, 1865 in Richmond. Post War Career: Teacher, merchant. Died- June 3, 1902 in Petersburg, VA. |
