Military record: Enlisted February 19, 1864 as a Private in Company G., 25th Battalion Virginia Volunteers, Local Defense Troops (more familiarly known as Richmond City Battalion, Capt. Lucien L. Bass's Co.); frequently hospitalized for "emaciation and debility following severe attack of measles." Died in hospital in Petersburg, VA November 17, 1864.|
