Military record: Civil War-Captain; served in 22nd Virginia Infantry Regiment, 59th VA, & 26th Virginia Battalion; wounded in action (head) at Gardner's Farm, May 1864; captured at Winchester September 1864 & held at Ft. Delaware; released 17 June 1865. Career: lawyer. Died Dec. 5, 1903, Charleston, WV; buried Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
