Biography & Genealogy:	Terry John Coles, Class of 1866: Born- October 28, 1844. Matriculated from Pittsylvania Court House, Va. At VMI 12 months over 2 years (repeated freshman year). Military Record: Enlisted March 3, 1863 for 3 years of war as Pvt, Company E, 17th Virginia Cavalry. On sick furlough September 1863. On detached service late 1863 and so shown on extant 1864 records. No further record found. Post War Career: Farmer. Lived in Bedford County. Died- February 25, 1926 in Norfolk, Va.
