Military Record: Enlisted at Verdiersville September 18, 1863 for war as Pvt, Company A, 3rd Va Cavalry. In hospital (Charlottesville) January 20-23, 1864. Transferred to Company E, 1st North Carolina Cavalry May 1, 1864. Died- August 21, 1864 at Petersburg.
