Biography & Genealogy:	Smith Francis A., Class of 1866: Born- May 11, 1845. Matriculated from Winchester, Va. At VMI 7 1/2 months. Military Record: Enlisted April 19, 1861 at Winchester as Pvt, Company H, 13th Va. Discharged July 19, 1862. At VMI September 29, 1862-May 16, 1863. Suspended for being absent after taps. No further record found. Post War Career: Clerk; journalist; merchant. Died- February 22, 1926 in Baltimore, Md. Buried Mt. Olives Cemetery there.
