Biography & Genealogy:	Shrewsbury Robert Peel, Class of 1866: Born- February 13, 1846. Matriculated from Malden (WV). At VMI 7 weeks. Military Record: Unofficial source says served as spy for Brig Gen J.S. Williams until captured in Kanawha Valley September 21, 1864. A Federal officer who was a friend of the family secured his release and, upon the officer's advice, his father sent him to live with relatives in Indiana where he attended college. No official record of any post-VMI service found. Died- ? Note- Some sources including the Register of Former Cadets list his name as Shrewsberry. Shrewsbury is the correct spelling.
