Biography & Genealogy:	Howell Chastain Edmondson, Class of 1866: Born- Unknown. Matriculated from Halifax, VA. At VMI 2 years; repeated 4th class (Freshman) year. Military Record: Enlisted Nov. 11, 1863 at Richmond as a Private, Captain R.M. Anderson's Company of Virginia Light Artillery (1st Company, Richmond Howitzers); in Richmond hospital June 10, 1864 because of wounds and illness (typhoid fever). Died- June 22, 1864.
