Biography & Genealogy:	Winchester D. Belvin, Class of 1866: Born- around 1847. Matriculated from Richmond, VA. At VMI 2 and a 1/2 months. Military Record: Enlisted (with parental permission because of age) on 14 March 1862 in Capt W.W. Parker's Company, Virginia Light Artillery. Discharged 3 September 1862 to attend VMI. Dropped from VMI (AWOL) December 1862. Enlisted 1 November 1864 in Fauquier County in Col J.S. Mosby's Regiment, Virginia Cavalry (43rd Virginia Cavalry Battalion). Signed parole 22 April 1865 in Winchester. Age 18. Post War Career: unknown Died- May 1931. Buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond VA.
