Biography & Genealogy:	Walton James Burdge Jr., Class of 1865: Born- May 29, 1845. Matricultated from New Orleans, La. At VMI 1 year (entered as a 5th year freshman). Military Record: Left on guard at VMI April 1861. No record of post-VMI service found. One source says returned to New Orleans to help family. Son of famous commander of Washington Artillery (Louisiana) of New Orleans in Army of Northern Virginia. Post War Career: Salesman; auditor; broker. Reported to have taken active role in restoration of white rule in La in 1870s. Died- December 15, 1923.
