(If there were children, they did not survive him). VMI Record: Entered VMI- Jan. 16, 1862; Resigned Sept. 5, 1862 due to ill health. He had injured his foot during the McDowell campaign. Military Record: Enlisted Oct. 22, 1862 at Brandy Station as Private in Co. A, 13th Va. Cavalry; listed as sick in quarters in early 1863; absent, sick late summer of 1863 and late summer 1864; listed as AWOL in late 1864; on list of parolees at Farmville April 11-21, 1865. Careers: Sugar planter. Lived in Soldiers' Home, Biloxi, Ms. 1911-1915. Died- May 15, 1915 in Vicksburg, Ms.|
