Biography & Genealogy:	Claiborne Anderson Pope, Class of 1865: Born- June 13, 1846. Matriculated from Brunswick County. At VMI 3 1/2 months. Military Record: Enlisted March 8, 1864 at Boydton for war as Private, Company A, 3rd Virginia Cavalry. Sick in hospital (Richmond, Petersburg) May-June, September 1864. Captured near Farmville April 6, 1865. Took oath at Newport News July 1, 1865. Post War Career: Farmer; merchant. Died- April 2, 1904.
