Biography & Genealogy:	Edgar James Noe, Class of 1865: Born- c1846. Matriculated from Norfolk, Va. At VMI 5 months. Military Record: May have been the "James Noe" whose only record (undated) shows him a member of Company H, 54th Virginia Militia. Probably the "Edgar Noe" who enlisted at Norfolk April 22, 1861 for 1 year as Private, Captain A.S. Taylor's Company Virginia Infantry ("Young Guards"). Detailed late 1861 for duty in Paymaster's Office. Discharged February 6, 1862. VMI man entered Institute February 1, 1862. Post War Career: No record of any post VMI service found. Died- 1870.
