Military Record: Enlisted September 1, 1862 at Gainesville for 3 years as Private, Company B, 6th Virginia Cavalry. Detailed as courier for Gen [Bbrig Gen W.E.?] Jones November - December 1862. Sick in hospital (Richmond) November-December 1864. Absent sick on only other extant roll dated March 21, 1865. Post War Career: Represented Rappahannock County in Virginia House of Delegates 1879-1882. Died- December 20, 1913 in Washington D.C.
