Military Career: Enlisted at August 1, 1862 at Oak Shade for 2 years as PRivate, Company G, 2nd Virginia Cavalry. Injured (dislocated shoulder) in fall from horse during battle of Kelly's Ford march 1863. In hospital (Charlottesville). Late 1863-early 1864 rolls show detached at "Camp Cripple." Re-enlisted March 1, 1864 for war. On detached duty summer 1864 with "Informary Cp." Signed parole May 11, 1865. Post War Career: Known to have died in Baltimore, Maryland after 1904. Farmer.
