Biography & Genealogy:	Hopkins Richard Preston, Class of 1865: Born- November 13, 1844. Matriculated from Lynchburg, Va. At VMI 4 1/2 months. At VMI January-June 1862. Military Record: Enlisted January 20, 1863 as Private, Company E, 2nd Va Cavalry. On Horse detail August-September 1863. PAF on extant rolls through June 1864 (last on file). Unofficial source says slightly wounded in action at Raccoon Ford but does not specify in which of the several engagements that took there. Post War Career: Realtor, farmer. Died- July 31, 1910 in Missouri.
