|Biography & Genealogy:||Haskins Thomas Creed, Class of 1865: Born- February 16, 1843. Matriculated from Brunswick County, Va. At VMI 3 years (repeated sophomore year). Military Record: Drillmaster, Richmond spring 1861 with 12th NC (originally 2nd NC). May have enlisted in regiment summer 1861. Dismissed from VMI April 1863 for stealing delinquency list. Enlisted for war May 5, 1863 at Ft Drewry in Capt B.J. Epes's Company Va Heavy Artillery (Johnson Artillery). To Sgt. In hospital (Richmond) August-September (diarrhea). Reduced to Private November 5, 1864. Paroled at Appomattox. Post Military Career: Farmer; revenue commissioner. Died- December 21, 1917.|
