Military Record: Enlisted Sept. 7, 1863 for three years as Private for Co. K, 9th Va. Cavalry. Mortally wounded in action June 1, 1864 near Ashland. Died- July 8, 1864 at Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond, Va.
