Military Record: Served as a Conscript at Camp Lee Mar. 16, 1864; assigned as a Private to Captain R.M. Anderson's Company of Virginia Light Artillery (1st Company of Richmond Howitzers); spent August-September 1864 in a Richmond hospital due to bilious fever; on undated list of POWs paroled at Farmville between April 11-21 1865; unofficial souce says he may have served in the Confederate States Navy before joining the army. Post War Career: Farmer; stockbreeder; lived in Dallas, TX. Died- August, 1914 in Paducah, Kentucky. |
