Parents- Richard Cassius Lee Moncure (lawyer/Chief Justice Supreme Court of Virginia) and Mary Butler Washington Conway. VMI Record: Entered VMI on July 27 1844; graduated July 5, 1847, standing 5th out of 12 graduates; First Captain. Career: Lawyer and judge. Practiced law in Fredericksburg, VA from 1849 until the winter of 1860-1861; lawyer and judge in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1865 until his retirement; served in Louisiana legislature; Member, VMI Board of Visitors, 1860. Marriage: Fanny Dulany Tomlin, 1850. Issue- Conway, Fanny, Richard, Mary, Rebecca, Landon, Nancy. Civil War record: Private, L. M. Nutt's Company Louisiana Cavalry; Staff officer, Maj. Gen. C. J. Polignac. Died: December 14, 1915 at Shreveport, LA.
