Military Record: Unofficial source says served as Lt and Aide-de-camp to Brig Gen E.L. Thomas. No official record of such service found (possibly a state appointment). Enlisted February 1, 1864 for 3 years or war as Private, Capt W.W. Parker's Company Virginia Light Artillery. Detailed February 24, 1864 as courier at Headquarters, I Corps, Army of Northern Virginia. Unofficial source says also served as Ordnance Sergeant at I Corps Headquarters. No official record of such service found. Paroled at Appomattox. Post War Career: Jeweler. Died- October 24, 1892 in Brooklyn, New York. |
